About Kerry Vann-Leeflang

My love for painting began in childhood, a passion that has grown and evolved into the vibrant acrylic and watercolour works you see today. My art is a reflection of the world around me, inspired by the colours of the ocean and it's surrounds. I'm drawn to vibrant hues, believing they bring life to every canvas.

The beach has been the backdrop to my entire life. Every weekend and holiday has been spent by the ocean, creating a lifetime of treasured memories. Days were filled with early morning swims, long walks along the shoreline, collecting shells, playing games, reading, and simply enjoying the slower rhythm of beach life. Those moments gave me a deep sense of peace, joy, and belonging that has never left me.

Today, that lifelong connection is at the heart of my artwork. Through the colours of the sea and sky, the beauty of coastal flora, and the ever-changing patterns of the ocean, I hope to capture not just the beauty of the beach, but the feeling of being there—the warmth of summer, the comfort of family, and the sense of freedom that comes from standing beside the sea. My art is a celebration of the place that has always felt like home and an invitation for others to reconnect with their own cherished memories of the coast.
